Welcome to my Web site!

British Auto Repair is situated in Mirrormont, about 8 miles outside Issaquah in WA. I specialize in older Jaguars (read as pre 1994), Land Rover (the original series landys) Triumph, all of the BLMC Austins and Morris's and if I am forced the odd MG. I also work on the older mercedes pre CIS preferred (that's pre 1976 for most of them) I will still work on D jet cars! I have also done a few megasquirt conversions and you can find the links on the megasquirt page.

I have rebuilt several Jag XJ6 (XJ40) engines, converted the hydraulically driven brake booster to vacuum brakes, converted SLS suspension to standard suspension etc etc.

I moved the radiator header to the other side

I have also rebuilt TR7, TR6, GT6 and spitfire engines along with older vintage engines from Austin engines from 850cc up to the  venerable 8.2 l Cadillac 501 cubic inch V8. I also rebuild the older classic Mercedes engines

Just go to the engines rebuilt pages to see some examples of the engine rebuilds. Each of these is rebuilt by my own fair hand and is not done fast but is done well. I only use the better components (not always the most expensive) and everything is hand fitted first.

I have worked on 2 Locost projects (see the locost build pages). the one in the picture is almost complete and is based on a TR7 engine with Toyota axles. Goes like a bomb!

I will get to put together a photo album eventually but will link this to my locost 7 page as well You can contact me at barri@britautorepair.com

I also have a rotisserie for rotating mini's! so much easier to work on them when restoring the floor pan and so much fun to spin a mini

I am also busy restoring an original austin 4 speed "automatic" transmission. Its called an automatic but its basically a clutchless gear box

much more like a modern manumatic transmission

“Deves Piston Rings” offer the most comprehensive range of rings for ALL Classic British Cars and Motorcycles, everything from a 1939 Austin to a 1955 Vincent! Visit www.Deves.com
